LiveChart.me is discontinuing our Facebook login functionality ("Continue with Facebook" / "Add Facebook Login") due to new requirements from Meta.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to all affected users. Your LiveChart.me account, marks, and favorites are not at risk of being deleted.
Please review the sections below for actionable steps and more information.
You will need to set up a new way to log in to your existing LiveChart.me account.
In a browser, navigate to our password reset tool and provide the email associated with your existing LiveChart.me account.
You will receive an email with a link to set the password on your account. Once configured, you will log in to LiveChart.me using your email and password.
This option will always be available and can be performed without logging in. Once you're logged in to LiveChart.me, you may choose to also proceed with Option B below.
This option requires you to log in to LiveChart.me first. If Facebook is the only way you log in and you do not act before Facebook login functionality is completely removed, you will need to use Option A above.
Log in to LiveChart.me in a browser
Navigate to the account area
Click/tap on the Logins tab
At the bottom of the page, click/tap on Add Google Login or Add Discord Login. You may perform this step multiple times to add multiple Google and/or Discord logins to your account.
Both our app and website make most information accessible without an account.
Please note that an account is required for advanced functionality such as tracking, mark filtering, notifications, and favoriting.
As part of efforts to improve privacy and security, Meta announced that it will require Business Verification in order to maintain access to the information (email address / public profile) that LiveChart.me uses to make Facebook login possible.
While we understand Meta's motivation and goals with these new requirements, LiveChart.me remains a small entity owned/operated by a single developer and the overhead necessary to obtain the required legal registration + documentation is too prohibitive for us at this time.
In the near future, we will release an update to the app which replaces Facebook login functionality with a button that opens this announcement page.
Keeping an old version of the app will not enable you to circumvent this change.
When logging in or registering to LiveChart.me using a login provider such as Google or Facebook, we request and store as little as necessary:
We do not request any other information about you from third-party login providers. If more information than we request gets included, we do not use, store, or otherwise retain it in any form.
Please visit our contact us page for multiple ways to reach us.
App users can tap on Contact us in the about screen.
We'll continue posting news and updates to Facebook as usual.
