Kei and Yuri were originally junior auxiliary agents in the Worlds Works and Welfare Agency (W.W.W.A. or 3WA for short) when the two were paired together under the codename "Lovely Angels." Kei was coming off her fourth probation for something she had done, and Yuri's dating exploits were common knowledge, not to mention the two had an instant dislike for each other when they met.

At first, Kei and Yuri refused to work with each other, and Kei even resigned from the 3WA. Afterwards, the two continued to work together, although they earned their nickname, "the Dirty Pair" because of all the collateral damage the two (unintentionally) cause in the completion of their cases. And even though the two now get along with one another, they continue to bicker and complain to each other.

Although it is often said that these are younger versions of the original Lovely Angels Kei and Yuri, in truth this series is an alternate universe telling of Dirty Pair, set in the years 2248-49.

  • Studio TBA
April 20, 1994 EDT

My Melody's mother sends her out to take a cake with her to a birthday party, but the smell of the cake is picked up by Wolf, who is hungry and plots to steal it. While she sings along her way, Wolf follows behind My Melody, hiding behind trees and bushes to keep his presence unknown. From the bushes, he attempts to steal the basket My Melody is carrying the cake in to no avail. Soon My Melody passes by Hunter and stops to say hello. Running past and attempting to pick up the basket, Wolf believes he's been successful, until he realises that he's actually picked up Hunter's dog, who bits him on the arm. Wolf continues to try and remain covert, trying grab the basket while swinging past on a rope, then attempting to take it from My Melody with a fishing rod. Both of these attempts lead to unpleasant encounters with Hunter, including being shot.

It is at this point Wolf moves on to more creative ideas, creating disguises. First he dresses up in drag and pretends to cry as My Melody approaches. My Melody is concerned and eager to help, this plan almost succeeds but before Wolf can take a bite out of the cake, Hunter comes along and identifies Wolf. The second disguise Wolf tries is dressing himself up as a fortune teller, attracting My Melody's interest. However, while raising his crystal ball, Wolf catches fire due to the sunlight being concentrated through it, giving him bigger problems to worry about and allowing My Melody to deliver the birthday cake safely.

After this final failed attempt, Wolf limps back to his cave. On arrival, Wolf finds that My Melody has visited, and left some presents and a cake for him to eat. Seeing this excites Wolf and he jumps with joy until he falls over and the short ends.
